Refuge Vows give us the opportunity to directly protect ourself from suffering. Even though we try continuously to avoid and overcome problems, our difficulties either just remain, or come back sooner or later in a different form.

Green Tara Empowerment,  Zululand, SA
Green Tara empowerment in Eshowe. 250 people attending, young and old, with Liberation from Sorrow Prayers translated into isiZulu, so beautifully sung. Our Temple in Zululand has been built by the local people, a ruined garage, transformed into a holy place. People enjoy Geshe-la's Kadam Dharma presentation and blessings, and receive so much benefit from it.

please help if you can, to renovate and refurbish an existing servants quarters into a comfortable garden cottage for the development of the Maitreya Buddhist Centre
. It is a great way to give your good heart to a community project.

If you would like to help in any way with this project, there is loads to do and lots of fun to be had. Jobs include building work, plumbing, electrical, painting, decorating, tiling, fundraising and so on... Please do not hesitate to give us a call. We can also accomodate you for 1 or 2 nights, come and enjoy a working holiday in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the Centre.

The Maitreya Kadampa Buddhist Centre is a Gov. Reg. Nonprofit Org. and is dedicated to helping people through growing their inner peace, wisdom and compassion.
